What is Ceramic Coating and why should your vehicle have it?
Ceramic coatings are a revolutionary way to protect your vehicle from the harsh elements and daily wear. When installed properly these coatings create a semi-invisible, UV repelling, ultra glossy, hydrophobic (water-repelling) glass-like layer that bonds to your vehicle’s surfaces, providing exceptional protection for the paint, wheels, glass, and interior. By repelling water, dirt, and other contaminants, ceramic coatings make your vehicle much easier to clean and maintain, whilst safeguarding it from UV rays, paint oxidation, and other environmental damage that’s known to dull our vehicle’s appearance and value.
The result? Your vehicle retains a glossy, like-new look for longer, with less effort on your part. From the exterior to the interior, ceramic coatings offer comprehensive protection that stands the test of time allowing you to eliminate one more concern from your list!

The Ceramic Coating Process
Applying ceramic coatings is a multi-step process that involves carefully preparing your vehicle to ensure the coating bonds effectively for maximum protection. Here's what to expect when you choose our service:
Preparation: The vehicle is thoroughly washed and clay barred to remove dirt, grime, and contaminants from the surface. This step ensures that no further damage will be added to the vehicle throughout the remaining steps.
Paint Correction: Before applying the ceramic coating, we perform a paint correction to remove any imperfections, swirls, or scratches on the vehicle's surface. This is a highly recommended step, as the coating will lock in any imperfections, meaning they will be visible under the coating. By correcting the paint beforehand, we ensure a flawless, smooth finish that maximizes the visual appeal and effectiveness of the coating.
Ceramic Coating Application: Once the paint is prepped and any imperfections are corrected, we’ll do one final alcohol wipe to remove any leftover compound or waxes which is then immediately followed by applying the ceramic coating to the vehicle. This is done in a controlled environment to ensure the coating bonds perfectly with the surface, providing the highest level of protection.
Curing and Inspection: After application, the coating needs time to cure and fully bond to the surface. We ensure everything is properly cured and evenly applied before returning the vehicle to you, giving you long-lasting results.
Ceramic Coating Applications
We offer a variety of ceramic coating applications to provide complete protection for every surface of your vehicle. Each application is designed to enhance durability, improve cleanliness, and maintain your vehicle's appearance for the long term. Here’s a look at the different ceramic coatings we offer:
Paint Coatings: The foundation of ceramic protection, our paint coatings create a strong, invisible shield on your vehicle’s paint. They protect against environmental contaminants like dirt, water, bird droppings, and road salts. The coating also guards against light swirl marks, and UV damage, ensuring your car stays glossy and easier to clean.
Wheel and Caliper Coatings: Wheels and brake calipers are constantly exposed to brake dust, dirt, and water, which can cause staining and corrosion over time. Our ceramic wheel and caliper coatings create a durable barrier that repels these contaminants, making your wheels easier to clean and reducing the risk of damage.
Glass Coatings: Applied to your vehicle’s windows and windshield, ceramic glass coatings enhance visibility by making water bead off the surface. This improves driving safety in rainy conditions and reduces the buildup of dirt and grime, keeping your glass cleaner for longer.
Interior Leather Coatings: Our leather coatings protect your car’s seats and interior leather surfaces from stains, oils, and wear. These coatings preserve the natural look and feel of the leather, preventing cracking, fading, and damage caused by UV exposure, while making it easier to maintain a clean interior.
Each of these applications work together to provide comprehensive protection for your vehicle, making it easier to maintain and ensuring it stays protected and looking great year-round.
Why Paint Correction is Recommended
While ceramic coatings are highly effective, applying them over paint imperfections like swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation can result in a less-than-perfect finish. During the paint correction process, we carefully polish the paint to remove these imperfections, leaving behind a smooth surface for the coating to bond with.
By correcting the paint first, we ensure that the coating provides a truly mirror-like finish. This step not only enhances the appearance of your vehicle but also maximizes the effectiveness of the ceramic coating, ensuring it lasts longer and provides optimal protection.
For best results we’ll always recommend a full correction but we understand that’s not what everyone is looking for. Nonetheless, we’ll always recommend the minimum of a singe-stage enhancement polish to remove surface level defects, add more gloss & clarity to the paint and create a clean, smooth surface to ensure the coating bonds correctly.

FAQs
Do you have a shop?
Yes we do! Our new shop is located in Salisbury, MA. This is generally where we do all of our ceramic coatings.
Is a ceramic coating right for me?
This can be a tricky one because for some people ceramic coatings aren’t the best option. If you have a work truck that’s constantly under abuse and not getting regular maintenance washes, it’s likely that you’ll strip the coating off prematurely. Maybe a nice Wash and Wax a few times per year is the better option. Generally speaking, if you’re not too rough on your vehicle and will maintain it or have us maintain it then a coating is a great idea.
Can a ceramic coating replace clear coat?
Not exactly, if your clear coat is damaged beyond paint correction repair or if it is so thin that it isn’t safe to polish then you’ll need to get that fixed to make it look as it once was. If you’re in a pinch and would like to prolong that expensive payout, a ceramic coating can absolutely go on top of it and protect what’s left.
Is the washing process any different after?
Kind of, the proper hand washing process is generally the same but with a few minor tweaks. You’ll need to use a PH neutral car wash soap, anything else could damage the coating. You’ll want to use tools that aren’t too rough on the paint, no dirty brushes, no scrubbers. We recommend using a fresh microfiber towel or wash mitt to hand wash and a clean microfiber car drying towel or air blower for drying. We recommend not washing the vehicle for about a week and trying not to get it wet within 24 hours of the application to ensure it bonds correctly.
Could you do it at my location?
Only if you have a well-lit, spacious garage or shop space. Paint correction and ceramic coating services require a fair amount of elbow room and good lighting to ensure were not missing anything. (We do have lights that we would bring but the more lighting the better.) We generally provide these services at our shop in Salisbury, Massachusetts only 8 minutes from Salisbury beach.
How long does it take?
Our ceramic coating services are generally finished the same day. If you're looking for advanced paint correction services, we may need the vehicle for a couple days. It’s all situationally based; it’s a good idea to reach out for a more accurate answer.

Ceramic Coating Care Guide
The Best Practices for Ceramic Coating Care:
Wait 7 Days After the Ceramic Coating Instillation to Wash the Vehicle
Ceramic coatings need time to fully cure and bond to the paint’s surface. Washing the vehicle too soon can interfere with this process, potentially weakening the coating’s durability and reducing its hydrophobic and protective properties.
When Washing Your Vehicle:
Use pH-Neutral Soaps & Soft Wash Mitts
pH-neutral soaps are formulated to clean without stripping protective layers as opposed to acidic or alkaline cleaners which can break down the ceramic coating prematurely, especially with repeated use. Soft microfiber wash mitts glide over the vehicle’s surface, lifting dirt without scratching.
Tip: Look for soaps labeled “Ceramic Coating Safe” or “Wax Safe”
Dry With Clean Microfiber Towels or a Touchless Air Dryer
Using towels that are dirty and/or made with rougher material can introduce swirl marks. Microfiber towels are very soft and absorbent, reducing friction. Touchless air dryers eliminate contact entirely, preserving the coating’s flawless finish!
Use the Two-Bucket Method to Minimize Scratching
This method prevents dirt from being reintroduced to the paint during washing. One bucket holds clean soapy water, while the second bucket is used for rinsing your wash mitt. This reduces the chance of dragging abrasive particles across the vehicle’s surface!
Wash Regularly (Ideally, Every 2-3 Weeks)
Regular washing prevents contamination buildup (road grime, pollen, brake dust, etc.) that can clog the coating’s pores. When clogged, the coating loses its hydrophobic behavior and glossy finish.
Tip: Even if the car looks clean, invisible contaminants can still degrade the coating.
Schedule a Maintenance Detail with Us Every 6 Months
Your first maintenance detail would be completed 6 months after the ceramic coating install, lasting throughout the duration of the ceramic coating’s rated lifespan. Professional maintenance ensures the coating remains in peak condition! During the maintenance detail, we will:
Perform a thorough Exterior Hand Wash & apply Clay Bar Treatment to decontaminate the vehicle and remove any embedded contaminants.
Perform an inspection for signs of wear and/or failure of the ceramic coating.
Perform any touch-ups on the ceramic coating as well as apply a Ceramic Topper to refresh hydrophobicity & gloss!
Remove Contaminants Promptly
Contaminants such as bird droppings, bug splatter, & tree sap are acidic and corrosive. If left too long (especially in sunlight) they can etch into the ceramic coating and/or the vehicle’s paint, causing permanent damage.
Tip: Keep a quick detailer and microfiber towel in your trunk for emergency spot cleaning or give us a call (we’re always happy to help!)
What to Avoid:
Don’t Wash the Vehicle in Direct Sunlight
Heat causes soap & water to quickly evaporate, leaving behind streaks, water spots, and residue. This can interfere with the coating’s performance & appearance.
Tip: Wash your vehicle in a shaded area or early in the morning before temperatures and UV levels rise.
Don’t Use Automatic Car Washes with Brushes
Brushes are abrasive and WILL scratch the ceramic coating, dull the finish, & potentially even strip the ceramic layer entirely. Touchless washes are safer but still not ideal due to harsh chemicals.
Tip: Hand washing is always best for ceramic coated vehicles.
Don’t Use Abrasive Towels, Sponges, or Cleaners
Abrasive towels, sponges, & cleaners can cause micro-scratches and wear down the coating prematurely. Even “soft” sponges can trap grit and act like sandpaper.
Tip: Stick to microfiber cloths and/or mitts as well as ceramic-safe products.
Don’t go Months Without Washing
Neglect allows contaminants to bond to the coating, reducing its effectiveness and making cleaning far more difficult. Over time, this can lead to coating failure and paint damage.
Tip: Set monthly reminders in between maintenance detailing appointments!
